Journal Entry 175

I recently spoke with a Vietnamese brother in Christ about ways that we can study Vietnamese together while diving into the gospel. We were both encouraged by the work the Lord has done in our lives by saving us from the false religion of Buddhism. I was tremendously encouraged to here that the Lord saved his parents after he got saved. For those who know me well will know that I strongly desire for my parents to surrender their life to Christ. They are of old age, but I know the Lord is able to save the chief of sinners to the uttermost. I am thankful for this brother that God placed in my life. One of my most referenced verses in the bible is Isaiah 43:4Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.”

May God help me as I am juggling a full-time job with part-time graduate school and ministry. Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” 1 Peter 1:6-9 says, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” (NKJV)
