As of December 14, I read Proverbs 14, and the first verse says, “The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” Interestingly, there has been much talk about marriage, but I do not want to talk anymore about it for this post. In fact, I had trouble reading through Galatians because my mind kept thinking about this. My time in the word wasn’t the best because my mind wasn’t fully focused on God. I do pray for my future wife (that is if I do get one), and even in marriage the Christian is fully committed Jesus Christ. Anyhow, I am reminded of how important it is to come into the word with a clear mind, where thoughts are captive, ready to be filled with grace and truth.
As far as my work, this week is my last week of training. To be honest, I feel rushed through my training, and on Saturday I will have six patients. It does not seem much compared to nursing homes. However, I am required to spend more time and energy with this group of higher acuity patients. Sadly, the hospital is a business, and the more I train, the more money is being spent on the preceptors. I handled five patients really well yesterday. However, it wasn’t as hard as it usually is. I was fortunate to be working with a group of people that I worked with before, so I was working more efficient.
May the Lord continue to bless my singleness, and help me to offer my utmost for His highest. I know that the Lord is in the business of conforming me to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).
